He reads with the Rider-Waite deck, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith in 1909, which most tarot readers learn on. These four of its twenty-two major arcana come up most often at his table.
The Emperor
Authority and structure. Rules, plans, and the discipline to keep them.
The Hierophant
Tradition and the proper way of doing things: the teacher, the ceremony, the family’s custom.
The Hermit
Time alone to think. The answer is inside, and it needs quiet before it is clear.
The Tower
Sudden change. Something built on the wrong footing comes down, and the way ahead is clearer once it has.

A reading works because each question is kept clear. These hold for everyone who sits with him.

Yes or no. Never maybe.
You leave with an answer you can act on. If the card has nothing to say on a question, he tells you that instead of stretching it.

Getting the question right.
“Should I take the offer?” can be answered; “what does my career hold?” cannot. The first minutes of a sitting go to putting your question in a form a card can answer.

Nothing is sold to you.
No remedies, no warnings meant to bring you back, no follow-up you did not ask for. What you do with the answer is up to you.

When the question is bigger than a card.
If your question turns out to be about a whole period of your life rather than one decision, it needs a birth chart. Sachin reads those, in the same house.

After engineering and an MBA, he took an M.A and a Ph.D in astrology from Mewar University and a diploma in Phalit Jyotish from Uttarakhand Open University, and began reading charts and houses at his father’s desk.
